The best quote about Law of Attraction I have ever read –
“When you want something, all the universe conspires
in helping you to achieve it.”
Most of my life wasn’t a smooth, upward journey. It was a winding path filled with detours I had never chosen. At 25, I was struck down by Guillain-Barré Syndrome — a rare and sudden neurological disorder that turned my world upside down. It didn’t just affect my health temporarily — it left me physically crippled, and unfit for any kind of hard work for the rest of my life.
Yes, I recovered – but not in the way most people understand recovery. I didn’t return to a strong, active life. I returned to a new version of myself – one that had to rebuild everything from stillness and surrender.
And life didn’t give me much time to adjust. By the time I turned 34, I had lost almost everything — my job, financial security, peace of mind, and what felt like my future. I was burdened with responsibilities: an ageing parents who depended entirely on me, and a debt taken for sister’s marriage.
My first business was doing well. In a hurry to make my conditions more favourable, I turned to a second business — hopeful, and determined. But it collapsed. And what followed was a mountain of debt. The debt became huge (70 lakhs) by the time I turned 42.
There were nights I sat in silence, staring into nothingness, asking, Why me? What more could I possibly endure? The worst part? I had people around me — but none to guide me. Only sympathy, no direction. I didn’t need pity — I needed a path. And then, when everything seemed hollow, books came to my rescue.
That was when I stumbled upon The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. This book is about Law of Attraction. At first, I was sceptical. The ideas about belief, thoughts creating reality, and the Law of Attraction all sounded too dreamy, too conveniently comforting for someone drowning in debt and despair.
But something about it lingered. A sentence here, a thought there. One of them read:
“Ask. Believe. Receive.” — Rhonda Byrne
It sounded simple — too simple — but I decided to try.
Soon after, I picked up another book: The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Dr. Joseph Murphy also on Law of Attraction. Unlike The Secret, this book gave me a blend of science and spirituality. It explained how the subconscious doesn’t distinguish between real and imagined, how it simply acts on what it is fed — with emotion, repetition, and belief.
Dr. Murphy said:
“Change your thoughts, and you change your destiny.”
That line struck something deep in me. And for the first time, my scepticism began to loosen. I started to believe in the possibility that my mind could be more than just a prison of worry — it could be a tool for liberation.
I realized I had nothing more to lose. So I decided — why not give it a try with everything I have? I committed to this belief system with my full heart.
I sat down in silence, with just myself and the quiet around me, and began planning my future. I visualised myself out of debt, leading a peaceful life, and supporting my family with ease. I tried to think positively about every situation I encountered.
But soon, doubts crept in. I felt silly — almost childish. Was I just daydreaming? Was this false hope? Does Law of Attraction really work? So many doubts. So I left it behind and went back to working harder. I pushed myself, and tried everything I could physically manage — but still, nothing changed.
But what I didn’t knew is that the Universe already started conspiring about me. That’s when I knew it wasn’t just effort I lacked — it was a clear plan, backed by belief.
I started again — more mindfully this time. I began consuming every video, podcast, and book I could find on manifestation, positive thinking, and self-discipline. I built a practical, structured plan, combining insights from various mentors and thought leaders.
Then something miraculous happened — slowly but surely, I started noticing change. Tiny improvements. Subtle shifts. But all in the right direction. That was the moment my trust in the belief system solidified. I realised that manifestation is not just about wishing — it’s about aligning your vision, thoughts, and actions with absolute clarity and emotion.
Thoughts as Frequencies — The Science Behind the Spiritual
I used to think thoughts were nothing until I realized they were everything. When you’re down and life is pressing against your chest like a mountain, your thoughts become your only room to breathe. That’s when I began understanding the true power of belief.
Not just motivational phrases or hopeful quotes — but the raw, repeated, emotionally charged thoughts I fed myself every single day.
The teachings from these books made me realise something crucial:
- Thoughts are energy. They carry vibrations.
- What you think repeatedly, with emotion, and conviction, your subconscious accepts as command of truth and starts working on it.
- The mind is a garden — your thoughts are the seeds. Water the seeds with positive belief and have patience, and your garden flourish.
Belief: The Silent Language of the Universe
In my darkest days, I discovered that the universe doesn’t wait for you to be ready. It waits for you to believe. When I began to believe — even slightly — that I could rebuild, recover, and rise, life started responding in the smallest of ways: a new opportunity, a helping hand, a spark of energy when I needed it the most.
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” — Napoleon Hill
I didn’t just ask with words — I asked with tears, with faith, with resilience. And slowly, it answered.
The Subconscious Mind: My Hidden Friend
When you’ve lost everything, your subconscious mind becomes the battlefield. I started to visualize — not luxury or success, but peace. Stability. Freedom from debt. Just waking up without anxiety. I imagined myself smiling again. Supporting my parents without fear. Watching my sister live a secure, happy life.
As Dr. Joseph Murphy explained:
“Your subconscious mind is like a fertile garden; whatever you plant —
thoughts, beliefs, fears — will grow.”
Even when life outside said “No,” my inner vision kept whispering, “Yes.”
Faith, Frequency, and Finding My Way Back
Faith, I learned, is not about blind optimism. It’s about walking through fire and still saying, “There’s something on the other side.”
When I was buried in 70 lakhs of debt, I didn’t have the luxury to “hope” — I had to believe. I began focusing not on the debt itself, but on the freedom I craved. And every day, I made small internal shifts — replacing “Why did this happen to me?” with “What can I learn from this?”
Those shifts changed my frequency. And the frequency changed my actions. And my actions slowly changed my life.
And today, even though I still have EMIs to pay, I have a positive net worth. I am completely out of debt. I’m more at peace than I’ve ever been. Instead of drowning in the misery of my lost family, I now cherish the beautiful memories of my wife and daughter. Their smiles still bring warmth to my heart and remind me why I chose to fight back.
My Rituals That Brought Light into Darkness:
Daily Visualization — I saw my life as I wanted it to be. Not perfect, but peaceful. Stable.
Affirmations — I repeated truths I didn’t yet believe: “I am coming out of this. I am healing. I am creating a better future.”
Gratitude — Even in debt, I found reasons to thank life viz.: my parents’ presence, a stranger’s kindness, one less EMI this month and the opportunity to fight back.
Mental Awareness — I began observing every negative loop, every self-doubt, and gently replacing them with faith.
Meditation – Meditation helps me keeping calm in adverse situation. Keeps me away from anxiety and excitement..
Rewriting My Inner Script
Most of us live by default — shaped by fear, trauma, and past programming. But I chose, intentionally, to live by design. Not grandiose dreams, just conscious thoughts. Not instant success, just gradual healing. You see, the universe doesn’t require perfection. It requires alignment. And when your inner world aligns with faith, focus, and emotion — the outer world begins to mirror it.
Final Reflection: Your Inner World is the Real World
So if you’re reading this and feel like your world is falling apart, let me say this: I’ve been there. In the dark. In the silence. In the debt. But I’ve also seen what’s possible when belief becomes your foundation.
“You don’t attract what you want. You attract what you are.” And who you are… is what you believe yourself to be. Don’t wait for life to get better before you believe. Believe — and watch life rise to meet you.
Let me conclude this with a Quote I firmly believe in –
“Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.”
— J.K. Rowling
